Culinary Arts Manager
Joylyn Wei, from Darien, CT, is currently a sophomore at Hopkins School in New Haven, CT. She began her studies in violin at the age of 5 with Dr. Chin Kim at Mannes Pre-College Music Program in New York and is currently studying under Marina Kitaychik at Stamford Music & Arts Academy. She has been playing 1st violin in the Principal Orchestra at the Norwalk Youth Symphony for 4 years. Recently, she has won top prizes at the American Protege Concerto Competition, Rondo Vanguard Competition, the Vivo International Music Competition, and is the Grand Prix winner of the New York Concerto International Competition for two consecutive years. As a prize winner, she has performed a number of times at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. She also performs at local churches for holiday and ceremony events. Outside of school Joylyn enjoys science research and promotes health and nutrition initiatives as a volunteer.
